Tall trees can't grow well in prairies.why?

Well, if you look at a prairie, you hardly see any trees, tall or short, right? Let's find out why!

° To begin with, prairies have very little rain. And, everyone knows you need water to grow trees.

° There is dry soil in the prairies, called dry climate soils.

° Ever notice prairie fires? Those burn off any bushes or trees actually growing.

These are just a few reasons why we don't have any trees in the North American prairie.
