Remember that the formula for the circumference of a circle is:


C=2\pi r

Since the diameter is twice the radius,


6.2/2=3.1

Our cirlce has a radius of 3.1".

Using this and the data given, we get that:


\begin{gathered} C=2(3.14)(3.1) \\ C=19.468 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the circumference would be 19.468 inches
