Americans did not want to pay taxes for anything.

well this is true but really no one wants to be taxed for anything amiright?

Americans wanted to buy tea grown in the colonies.

no the colonist couldn't care less of where the tea came from

Americans did not want to be taxed by those they did not elect.

This is correct, the colonist didn't have any communications with Britain about their taxation, Britain juts out of the blue said "hey you have to pay more of something you already pay for ok byeeeee" and the colonist weren't happy about it, this led to the Boston tea party and other acts of rebellion because Americans are wack and eventually led to the revolution

The colonies wanted to join together and form their own country

well yes but no not yet

The main reason the American colonists had for protesting the tea tax was that "Americans did not want to be taxed by those they did not elect," since the colonists had no representation in Parliament.
