Then
The second part will be = 2x
The third part will be = 3 * 2x
= 6x
Then we can get to the equation
x + 2x + 6x = 846
9x = 846
x = 846/9
= 94
So
The first part will be = 94
The second part will be = 2x
= 2 * 94
= 188
The third part will be = 6x
= 6 * 94
= 564
So the three parts are 94, 188 and 564.The second option of 846 = x + 2x + 6x is the correct option.
