The area of a triangle is given by the formula

A=(1)/(2)bh

Where

b is the length of the base

h is the height of he triangle

Looking at the figure, we can see:

\begin{gathered} b=4 \\ h=2 \end{gathered}

Substituting this information into the formula, we have:

\begin{gathered} A=(1)/(2)bh \\ A=(1)/(2)(4)(2) \\ A=4 \end{gathered}Answer

Area = 4 sq. units.
