You would divide 8 into 3.
Then multiply that by two.
That will be your answer to 2/3 of 8!

'of' in mathematics means multiplication

$(2)/(3) * 8 = (16)/(3) = \boxed{\bf{5(1)/(3)=5.\overline{33}}}$
