Rearrange the quadratic equation so that it is equal to 0. Then factor the equation.

X^2-4X=-2X+24

First add the 2x to the other side and subtract 24. This leaves you with X^2 -2x -24 =0 Now you can factor it by finding two numbers that multiply to -24 and add to -2. This is -6 and +4. Now set that as (x-6) and (x+4) you can check this answer by using FOIL.... First outer inner last, by multiplying each of those terms and you should get your original equation. I hope that helps!
