Please help, HOMEWORK DUE TONIGHT! (20 POINTS)

Below are the results of an experiment similar to Louis Pasteur's experiment.

TRIALS OBSERVATIONS
Flask 1: Sealed flask of boiled meat broth. --- Clear; no microorganisms present

Flask 2:Flask of boiled,eat broth with S-shaped tube. --- Clear;no microorganisms present

Flask 3:Open flask of boiled meat broth. --- Very cloudy; many microorganisms present

A) How do the flask 2 results disprove spontaneous generation?

B) Why do the flask 3 results not disprove spontaneous generation?

A) No organism spontaneously generated because the flask was closed.

B)Since the flask was open organisms could enter and regenerate with other organisms.

A) The S shaped tube catches all microorganism eggs and so nothing falls to the bottom and grows.

B) Flask 3 does not disprove spontaneous generation because one would think that the microorganisms suddenly and spontaneously grew out of nothing (even though they did not).
