The sum of interior angles of a triangle is 180 degrees

Here the interior angles are:

(4x\text{ - 22) + (10x - 4) + (x + 11) = 180}

To find x, first open the parenthesis:

4x\text{ - 22 + 10x - 4 + x + 11 = 180}

Collect like terms:

4x\text{ + 10x + x -22 - 4 + 11 = 180}
15x\text{ - 15 = 180}

Now add 15 to both sides:

15x\text{ - 15 + 15 = 180 + 15}
15x\text{ = 195}

divide both sides by 15:

(15x)/(15)\text{ = }(195)/(15)
\text{ x = 13}
