Lines m and n are parallel lines cut by a transversal l.Line m is above line n. Angles are labeled 1 to 4 clockwise starting from top left at intersection of lines l & m. Angles are labeled 5 to 8 in the same way for lines l & n.© 2019 StrongMind. .

From the diagram

From the image

1 = 5(because they are corresponding)

5 = 7 ( they are vertically opposite angle)

From both statements above:

it means that 7 = 1

Also

6 + 7 = 180 (sum of angles in a straight line)

Recall that supplementary angle is 180

recall that 7 = 1

Therefore,

6 + 1 = 180( which is supplementary)

option D is correct

6 = 2(corresponding angles)

6+1 = 180

Lines m and n are parallel lines cut by a transversal l.Line m is above line n. Angles-example-1
