3 = (g)/(4) - 5

First, add '5' to both of the sides.

3 + 5 = (g)/(4)

Second, add '3 + 5' to get 8.

8 = (g)/(4)

Third, multiply both sides by '4' to get rid of the fraction.

8 * 4 = g

Fourth, multiply '8 × 4' to get '32'.

32 = g

Fifth, you can switch your sides.

g = 32

Answer:
\fbox {g = 32}
