How to calculate percentages ? For example 25% of (random number)

25% of 150

25% = 25/100

25/100 * 150
= 0.25 * 150 = 37.5

You have to remember that "percent" means "hundredths".

So '25%' means 0.25 .
50 percent means 0.50 .
77% means 0.77 .
etc.

To find 41% of a number, multiply the number by 0.41 .
