so in this case first add all the cost togather, 3.50+2.25+9.95=$15.7
then move the decimal left two times to make the 5% into decimal number, which is .50
and multiply it by the total cost $15.7 which is 15.7*.50=7.85.
hope you like my answer and rate it. thank you :)

Answer:

Vicky will pay $16.485 altogether

Explanation:

Cost of strawberries = $3.50

Cost of carrots = $2.25

Cost of a bouquet of flowers = $9.95

Total cost of all items = $3.50+$2.25+$9.95

=$15.7

Sales tax% = 5%

Cost including sales tax =
15.7 + (5)/(100) * 15.7

Cost including sales tax =
16.485

Hence Vicky will pay $16.485 altogether
