We have, The general formula for the total surface area of a cylinder is:

\begin{gathered} A=2\pi rh+2\pi r^2 \\ \end{gathered}

where r = radius and h = height

Therefore:

\begin{gathered} A=2\pi(7)(5)+2\pi(7)^2 \\ A=2\pi(35)+2\pi(49) \\ A=70\pi+98\pi \\ A=168\pi \\ A=168(3.14)=527.52 \end{gathered}

Answer: surface area = 527.52
