The formula for the volume of cylinder is,

V=\pi(r)^2h

Here, r is radius and h is height.

The volume of cone with same radius r and height h is,

\begin{gathered} v=(1)/(3)\pi(r)^2h \\ v=(1)/(3)V \end{gathered}

So volume of cone is one-third of volume of cylinder, if both cone and cylinder have same radius and height.

Determine the volume of cone if cylinder volume is V = 500.

\begin{gathered} v=(1)/(3)\cdot500 \\ =166.666 \\ \approx166.7 \end{gathered}

So volume of cone is 166.7 meters cube.
