This is the speed at which molecules or atoms move dependent on temperature and state of matter.

Atoms move faster when temperature is high. Example is in the gas phase. Atoms move slower in lower temperatures because molecules are contricted because they have no heat energy. Example is solid ice. Medium temperature example can be liquid water.
