To solve you add both sides by 1.2. This cancels out the negative 1.2 and when you add 1.2 to 3.6 you get 4.8. Now you're equation should look like x=4.8. And that's pretty much it

To solve this you would work backwards so 3.6+1.2 because the operation in the equation is subtraction. 3.6+1.2= 4.8. I hope this helped. :)
