Solution

Part a

We can do the folowing operation:

457Ac\cdot(2.1qu)/(1Ac)=959.7qu

Then we can use the following conversion: 1gal = 4 quarts

959.7qu\cdot\frac{1\text{gal}}{4qu}=239.925\text{gal}

We also know that the herbicide is sold in a 2% gallon container so we can do this:

239.925\text{gal}\cdot0.2=47.985\text{container}

Then is possible to see that is neccessary at least 48 containers

Part b

The price would be:

48\cdot93.80=4502.4
