It is an obtuse triangle.

Explanation.

Given:

The sides of the trianlge are 3, 5, 7.

The objective is to find whether the given triangle is acute, obtuse or right triangle.

The type of triangle can be calculated by thre condition using Pythagorean theorem.

Consider x as larger side, and y and z as other two smaller sides of the triangle.

For RIght triangle,

x^2=y^2+z^2

For acute triangle,

x^2For obtuse triangle,[tex]x^2>y^2+z^2

Let's find the type of triangle by substituting the values of x, y and z.

\begin{gathered} 7^2=3^2+5^2 \\ 49=9+25 \\ 49>34 \end{gathered}

Thus, the obtained result is,

x^2>y^2+z^2

Hence, the given triangle is an obtuse triangle.
