Misunderstood.
One tenth is 0.1. If you divide by it you multiply by 10. If you want one tenth of something, you multiply that something by one tenth, that is by 0.1.
One tenth of 47.3 is 47.3 * 0.1 = 4.73. Dividing 47.3 by one tenth you get 473.
