How do you solve 2x-31= -9x+24 ?

2x - 31 = -9x + 24 (add 9x to each side)

9x + 2x - 31 = 24

11x - 31 = 24 (add 31 to each side)

11x = 24 + 31

11x = 55 (divide 11 from each side)

x = 55/11

x = 5
