I think the answer is 4 gallons to mow the lawn
1/2 gallons = 1/4
1 gallons = 2/4
1 1/2 gallons = 3/4
2 gallons = 4/4

Answer:

(1)/(2) lawn

Explanation:

The rate of
(1)/(2) gallon of gasoline per
(1)/(4) lawn mowed.

We will solve it by unitary method.

(1)/(2) gallon of gasoline is used to mow
(1)/(4) lawn.

∴ 1 gallon of gasoline is used to mow =
((1)/(4))/((1)/(2))

=
(1)/(4) ×
(2)/(1)

=
(2)/(4)

=
(1)/(2) lawn

you can mow
(1)/(2) lawn with one gallon of gasoline.
