What does it mean for a figure to be 3-D

It's 3 dimensional. It means that it isn't flat. Like if you look at a person, they are thre dimensional. But if you look at a picture or a 2d movie, it's flat.

We are able to see the "entire" figure and not just one side or a "flat" side.
