There two formulaes for getting the sum of a series.

If the common ratio, r < 1, we use


S_n=\text{ }(a(1-r^n))/(1-r)

This is to ensure that we don't get a negative term in the bracket.

As r = 1/2 in less than 1 as in our case, we apply this formula.

If otherwise, we use:


S_n=\text{ }(a(r^n-1))/(r-1)

Thus our answer is TRUE
