If you take 48 divied by 3 you get 16 and 16+16 =32 guys
32+16=48
16 girls

let x be the number of girls
let 2x be the number of boys
given that There are 48 children.

x+2x=48x=48/3x=16
therefore there are 16 girls in the group...
