Richard practiced each of 3 piano solos for 5/12 hour. Expressed in simplest form, how long did he practice in all.

Each hour has 60 minutes, so we need to compute 5/12 of 60 min which is
(5)/(12) (60 min) = 5(5) = 25 min

A 12th of an hour (60 mins) is 60 divide by 12 = 5. Then do 5x5 =25 mins. So he practised one piano solo for 25 mins, then times 25 by 3 (because he did 3 piano solos) which equals 75. So the answer is- Richard practised for 75mins altogether. I think you might to check it up!! Xx
