Explanation: Britain's role in the French Revolution was to weaken the revolutionary movement to prevent it from spreading throughout Europe and becoming stronger.

That was done through a first coalition that was made up of several countries but that was a complete failure, however there was a second attempt and the results improved. Gradually Britain was gaining power until obtaining supremacy over many colonies in the world and a great political, social and economic rise and of course the decline of France.
