Part 1:
perimeter of a rectangle = 2(L + W)
W = 5/6 L
perimeter of a rectangle = 2( L + 5/6L)

Part 2:
perimeter of the rectangle is 44 inches
perimeter of a rectangle = 2(L+5/6L)
44 = 2(L+5/6L)
44 = 2L + 10/6 L
44 = 3 2/3 L
L = 12

W = 5/6 L
W = 5/6 x 12
W = 10

Area = L x W
Area = 12 x 10
Area = 120 square inches
