For the triangle:

Height: h = 6 in

Length of the base: b = 6 in

The area of the triangle is: A_T = b*h/2 = 6*6/2 = 18 in²

Now, for the rectangle:

Side 1: L1 = 6 in

Side 2: L2 = 11 in

The area of the rectangle is: A_R = L1*L2 = 6*11 = 66 in²

The total area is the sum of the two areas above:

A = A_T + A_R = 18 + 66

A = 84 in²
