I'm just going to do substitution
Steps:
1. Substitute the y in -8x-5y=-11 for 4x + 19

-8x-5(4x + 19)= -11
-8x + (-20x) + (-95)= -11
-28x + (-95)=-11
2. Now add 95 on both sides
-28x= 84
3. Divide by 28 on both sides
4. X=-3
5. Now substitute the x in y= 4x + 19 for -3
Y= 4(-3) + 19
Y= -12 + 19
Y= 7
6. Your answer is x = 3 and y= 7 or (3,7)

y=4x+19 (1)
-8x-5y=-11 (2)
sub 1 into 2
-8x-5(4x+19)=-11
-8x-20x-95=-11
-28x-95=-11
-28x=84
x=84/-28
x= -3
sub into 1
y=4(-3)+19
y=7

therefore x= -3 and y=7
