the harbor master decides how many trips the ferry needs to make for 37 cars. the ferry can carry 8 cars at a time. what is the best way to interpret the remainder of 37/8 so that all the cars can cross the harbor?

He would have to make 5 trips because there is a decimal and it would round to 5.

The remainder 37/8 = 4.625

So, in order for the harbor master to transport the 37 cars successfully using the ferry he needs to make 5 trips.
