Who began the tradition?
When did it become worldly?

The true meaning of Christmas is the birth of our Lord and Savior! The tradition was started by early Christians, they celebrated it since the beginning of the church. But, it did not become a official church feast until about 300 AD. It started to become ‘worldly’ after the protestant reformation. It is rare to find people who have preserved the true meaning of christmas, the way it should be! Gifts and Candy are great, ( I love them ) but it has been to draw away from the true meaning, the birth of our Lord! Christmas is not just a time for ‘family and friends’ but also for Jesus! God Bless! Merry Christmas!
