3 1/2 yards = 54 inches
2 feet 10 inches =34 inches
She had 2 feet 10 inches of ribbon left after trimming some curtains, that means
54 inches - X =34 inches, 54 inches -34 inches
= X, X=20 inches
The solution is 20 inches
