To plot points you write them this way ( 3 , 8 )
The first number is the x coordinate
It's the number that goes across. If it's found on the right, it's positive. If it's found on the left it's negative.
The second number is the y coordinate
It's the number that goes up and down. If it's on the top it's positive. If it's on the bottom it's negative.
