Part A: A graph passes through the points (0, 2), (1, 3), and (2, 4). Does this graph represent a linear function or a non-linear function? Explain your answer in words.

Part B: Write one example of a linear function and one example of a non-linear function. (Use x and y as the variables)

Yes the graph does show a linear function. You should be able to see that the 3 points all have the same slope and form a linear line. It is also a function because it passes the vertical line test.

Part A: This line represents a linear function because a line that is straight can pass through all the points. The function of that line would be: y=x+2

Part B:
Linear function: y=x+2
Non-linear function:
y= x^(2)

Hope this helps
