2x + 3y = 8

3y = 8 - 2x

y = 8/3 - 2/3x

6x + *y = L

*y = L - 6x

y = L/* - 6/* x

-6/* = - 2/3 in order to both lines be parallel

So * = 9

2x + 3y = 8

6x + 9y = L

L can have any of the three values I, II and III
