A geologist visits 80 volcanoes in Alaska and California. What if the 70% of the volcanoes were in California? How many would the geologist have visited in California and how many are in Alaska?

56 in California, 24 in Alaska. First you've got to divide 100 by 80 to get 1.25. Then multiply it by 30 and 70 to get 24 and 56. Hope this helped! If you need it clearer, let me know! :)

30 % of the Volcanoes would be going to Alaska so.... 24 volcanoes are in Alaska while 76 are in California
