1/4 - 3/32

you have to find a common denominator. In this case it will be 32.

4 × 8 =32
It will turn into:

8/32 - 3/32.
now all you have to do is subtract the numerators.

8 - 3 = 5.
your answer is

5/32

8/32 / 3/32 = 2 2/3 times longer

2 2/3 times longer
