There is 1 faculty member per 15 students

To find how many faculty members are given that there are 675 students, we can use the next proportion:

\frac{1\text{ faculty member}}{x\text{ faculty members}}=\frac{15\text{ students}}{675\text{ students}}

Solving for x,

\begin{gathered} 1\cdot675=15\cdot x \\ (675)/(15)=x \\ 45=x \end{gathered}

There are 45 faculty members
