Since the a few of the chapters are written to discuss Voltaire’s anti-war satire, he used exaggeration to satirize inhumane disciplinary practices of the Prussian Army by describing them as ‘heroes’ – which are soldiers basically, who were turned into mere machines that can move by itself. In addition to that , Voltaire described war itself as ‘glorifying’ and the killings and murders as ‘heroic’ butchery; as he is clearly disgusted by the slaughter and wastes brought by war.
