Division property of equality states that you divide the same number to both sides of an equation

Divide equation [1] both side by 10,we get


(10y)/(10)= (6x^2)/(10)

On simplifying we get;


y=(6)/(10)x^2 or


y= 0.6x^2

Now, compare above equation with an equation
y =kx^2 we get the value of k

i.e, k= 0.6
