5. A 3-centimeter-long maple tree seed is falling at a velocity of 120centimeters per second toward the ground. If its velocity stays constant,how far will the seed fall in 1.5 seconds?

The first thing to do is calculate the times it takes with the velocity of 120 and the space traveled (3 cm)

\begin{gathered} v=(d)/(t) \\ t=(d)/(v) \\ t=(3)/(120)=0.025 \end{gathered}

Now, we make the following proportion:

\begin{gathered} (0.025)/(3)=(1.5)/(x) \\ x=(1.5\cdot3)/(0.025) \\ x=180 \end{gathered}

therefore, the distance is 180 cm
