Answer: When we say a substance is magnetic it means the atoms are lined in a way that created a magnetic field that goes from one side to the other

These are essentially two aspects of the same thing, because a changing electric field creates a magnetic field, and a changing magnetic field creates an electric field. This is the relationship.

Answer: Copper isn't ferromagnetic,

Aluminum isn't ferromagnetic,

String does have a ferromagnetic property

A substance is magnetic if they have a permanent magnetic field. This brought about by their atomic structure and formation. An example would be iron. Notice that your magnet sticks to objects made of iron.
