C. Just because an idea is offensive does not mean it can be prohibited.

This is actually quoted from Justice William Brennan, speaking for the majority. This, he states that, "If there is a bedrock principle underlying the First Amendment, it is that the government may not prohibit the expression of an idea simply because society finds the idea itself offensive or disagreeable. . . ."
