Based on its degree, what kind of polynomial is this?

h(x)=-6x^3+2x-5

I think it’s cubic. I could be wrong but I did find it on another website

To find the degree of the polynomial, you base it on the highest degree the variable is in.In this problem, the highest degree is 3. Thus, this is a third degree polynomial. If you solve this function, there would be 3 roots for x, thus it passes the x-axis three times.
