$x-\ money\ spend\\\\ (272-x)/(804-x)=(2)/(9)\ \ \ \ | cross\ multiplication\\\\ 9(272-x)=2(804-x)\\\\ 2448-9x=1608-2x\ \ \ | add\ 2x\\\\ 2448-7x=1608 \ \ \ | subtract\ 2448\\\\ -7x=-840\ \ \ | divide\ by\ -7\\\\x=120\\\\ They\ spend\ together\ 240\$$
