the origianl dimension of the rectangle is

length = 12 cm

width = 8 cm

now we will reduce the rectangle by factor 1/2

so now the length is

12 x 1/2 = 6 cm

and the width is,

8 x 1/2 = 4cm

thus, the new dimensions are

4 cm

6 cm
