Suppose f (x) = 2x - 5, g(x) = -3x - 1, and h(x) = 2x^2 + x - 7. Evaluate h(x) - g(x).

Here we want to evaluate h(x) - g(x) given both functions

From the question; h(x) = 2x^2 + x -7

and also g(x) = -3x - 1

Thus; h(x) - g(x) will be;

2x^2 + x - 7 -(-3x -1)

= 2x^2 + x - 7 +3x + 1

= 2x^2 + x + 3x -7+1

= 2x^2 + 4x - 6

Hence, h(x) - g(x) = 2x^2 + 4x -6
