f(x)=9x^2-12

to find the inverse function...

y=9x^2-12

change y for x and x for y

x=9y^2-12

and solve y

\begin{gathered} 9y^2=x+12 \\ y^2=(x+12)/(9) \\ \\ y=\sqrt[]{(x+12)/(9)} \\ \\ y=\frac{\sqrt[]{x+12}}{3} \end{gathered}

so the option is D
