We have the next equation

9x^2+6x+1=0

we will use the second- degree general formula

x_(1,2)=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt[]{b^2-4ac}}{2a}

In our case

a=9

b=6

c=1

we substitute

x_(1,2)=\frac{-6\pm\sqrt[]{6^2-4(9)(1)}}{2(9)}

we simplify

x_(1,2)=\frac{-6\pm\sqrt[]{36-36}}{2(9)}=-(1)/(3)

As we can see we have one real solution with a multiplicity of 2

ANSWER

one real solution with multiplicity 2
